New Zealand retailers are enjoying a reinvigoration in their Fresh Produce categories with the recent launch of the innovative value-added beetroot range, Love Beets®.
Love Beets® are simply 100% beetroot, no added sugar, salt or additives. Just naturally sweet, ready to eat baby beetroot that is peeled, cooked and vacuum packed, offering longer lasting freshness.
A flexible addition to any produce department, Love Beets® can be merchandised ambient or chilled, they have a six month shelf life from packing (no shrinkage) and are available 52 weeks of the year, providing a product that is versatile for retailers and popular with New Zealand consumers.
Love Beets® provides consumers with a great tasting, convenient way to add beetroot to any dish. However they enjoy it, beetroot makes an incredibly healthy addition to consumers’ weekly meal planning. Beetroot is virtually fat free and low in calories, and has a low GL (glycaemic load) which means it is converted into sugars very slowly and therefore helps to keep blood sugar levels stable.
