Modi™ recipes set to wow at Food Show

Johnny Di Francesco, Head Chef at 400 Gradi, becomes a friend to Modi™ Apple.

Freshmax has teamed up with the award-winning (Winner at the 2014 World Pizza Championships) Melbourne-based Italian Chef, Johnny Di Francesco, to help promote Modi Apple, its Italian Heritage and some new ways to enjoy “Australia’s Finest Italian [Apple]”.

“Understanding where a product comes from and what it is all about is really important to me” said Johnny in a recent visit to Modi Orchards in Victoria, Australia. “Visiting the Modi Growers was one of the most exciting things for me in 2017 so far.” A video clip of this trip has been included below (manual link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmAUsmuTVpQ ).

With the aim of encouraging consumers to try new, additional ways of enjoying Modi Apples, Johnny has developed three new recipes including a Spiced Apple Dessert Pizza (pictured below) which will feature at this year’s Melbourne Good Food and Wine Show in June.

“I am really excited to be working with Modi Apple, and showcasing it at the Good Food and Wine Show” states Johnny, “it is a beautiful product that is delicious to eat and works so well in so many of the dishes that I love to cook and to eat.”
